Instructions

  1. Take your 40cm of cord this is going to be your body and feet
  2. Thread your keyring on this cord
  3. Then fold your cord in half and push both loose ends through the wooden ball.
  4. Tie a small overhand knot in one end of the cord to make one of your feet
  5. Now tie a small overhand knot at the end of the cord to make the other foot
  6. Now, with adult supervision, take your lighter and gently melt the ends of the cord (the feet) to seal them – use a spoon to push the melted cord into the knot
  7. Be careful, it can be very hot
  8. Next you are going to make the body
  9. Take your second piece of cord
  10. Starting at the feet and working towards the head, you are going to tie cobra knots, alternating each knot the side is done on
  11. Follow the video to do this
  12. Keep working down the body until it is the length you want
  13. You should then have 2 excess bits of cord either side – these will be your arms
