We are 2nd Baldock Cubs
Our members are aged between 8 and 10½, and they take part and enjoy an active, exciting, fun, and adventurous programme of activities.
We meet every Wednesday from 6:30-8:00pm
We spend most weeks between Easter and late September ‘outside’.
We take a break during the School holidays as many of our Cubs and leaders are also on holiday, plus it gives us a chance to catch up on planning the next great adventure when we all meet up again. We camp at least once every year locally so our Cubs can experience independence from parents and carers.

The Cubs “Promise”
As an inclusive Cub Scout group, we have various “promise” options available to our young members. You can see all of the options on the main scouts.org.uk website; however the most common option within our current group can be found below….
I promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to God and to the King,
to help other people
and to keep the Cub Scout Law.
Although we are a Catholic group, we welcome Cubs from all faith groups and backgrounds and we will adjust our Cub promise to suit the individual.

The Cub Scout “Law”
Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.

Information about Cubs…
There is a lot of information on the main Scouts website about what we do. We have curated some information for parents and prospective Scouts using the links below.

Who can be a 2nd Baldock Cub?
Anyone aged between 8 and 10½ that has an association with Baldock and our local area that wants to be a member of a great Cub Pack.

Life after Cubs…
When you hit 10½ you will be eligible to join our Scout Group where the fun continues. From here you will gain more skills and more independence.
