We are 2nd Baldock Beavers
Our members are aged between 6 and 8, and they take part and enjoy an active, exciting, fun, and adventurous programme of activities designed to help them engage, make friends and expand their horizons.
We meet every Thursday from 6:15-7:15pm
We spend most weeks between Easter and late September ‘outside’.
We take a break during the School holidays as many of our Beavers and leaders are also on holiday, plus it gives us a chance to catch up on planning the next great adventure when we all meet up again. We generally try and get at least one sleepover planned in per year to give our Beavers and opportunity to see what it’s like being away from their mum, dad or regular carer.

The Beavers “Promise”
As an inclusive Beaver Colony, we have various “promise” options available to our young members. You can see all of the options on the main scouts.org.uk website; however the most common option within our current group can be found below….
I promise to do my best to be kind and helpful and to love God.
Although we are a Catholic group, we welcome Beavers from all faith groups and backgrounds and we will adjust our Beaver promise to suit the individual.

Information about Beavers…
There is a lot of information on the main Scouts website about what we do. We have curated some information for parents and prospective Beavers using the links below.

Who can be a 2nd Baldock Beaver?
Anyone aged between 6 and 8 that has an association with Baldock and our local area that wants to be a member of a great Beaver Colony.

Life after Beavers…
When you hit 8, Beavers will be eligible to join our Cubs pack where the fun, adventure and learning continues. Here Beavers will gain more independence and meet more friends within the Scouting movement.
